yesterday was my birthday! so, i celebrated in style.

at a chinese wedding.

Norm and joey are a lovely couple from Singapore and as a result of last week (or twos) stag do debarcle i was invited to the big day.

So clad in the floor length silk dress i swanned off to the wedding- meeting TT and his sister there. What a massive do ... there ate at least 30 tables here, all dressed in white with silk napkins, and there are flowers everywhere! I had my picture taken with TT, his sister and the bride and groom and someone posted it immediately on to the wall - technology eh!?

Then began the food and drinking-
There were 20 waiters and waitresses dancing down the isle with platters covered in cloche's very "be our guest" from the Disney film Beauty and the Beast (for your amusement)

anyhow, we ate very well....

Wilst eating my own body weight in food, I also drank my own weight in wine:
At one point the waitress took a look at my empty glass and turned her nose up at me... and scuttled off.
There i was thinking the snotty nosed waitress had cut me off - no more wine for the Ang Mo!

3 minutes later, ta dah......... a full bottle of wine, uncorked for my pleasure and a waitress muttering her disapproval of returning so often to top me up.
