rubber gloves

they can kick me out at anytime...
Today I had my pre work medical, Met HR, and my new boss and colleagues.

The medical was pretty standard - apart from the threat in my new work contract that if I fail any test they (work ot the Ministry of Manpower "MOM" ) can send me home, and I have to pay back the re-location and flight money.... yip!

The lady in HR was a proper grumpy bitch- she threw my contracts across the table and left abruptly for a meeting asking me to put the contracts in a letterbox on my way out. Nice- Welcome to Singapore!

My new boss seems nice, and my new colleagues are young and look like a laugh. I think ill be ok here.

Medical results: Pass: I do not have any conditions or disease's that render me useless to the job. I can begin work on the 1st Feb - joy

Sent this email to my new boss:
"hey boss- im disease free, and thankfully (unlike your prediction) there was only one pair of rubber gloves used- to take my blood!! (phew- close call)
Lets have a drink this week, would be nice to get to know you all a bit"

Reply
"hello. Looks like you get lucky with the rubber gloves. Ill pass your phone number on to 'J' and see you in the week for a drink- From Boss"

In the words of Annie- the flame haired orphan with abandonment issues- " Ithink im going to like it here"
